2025 in Focus: Omni’s Lighting Solutions That Made a Difference

Omni Lighting Solutions: Wall fixture, road lights, and Beggars Plaza sign lit.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year filled with challenges met, emergencies resolved, and properties made safer, brighter, and more energy-efficient. From middle-of-the-night emergency calls to full lighting system upgrades, this year reinforced what makes Omni Commercial Lighting a trusted partner for commercial and retail properties throughout Chicagoland.

Our work this year wasn’t simply about completing service calls—it was about solving problems quickly, communicating clearly, and delivering long-term value to the clients who depend on us.

Real Stories, Real Impact

One standout moment came when a property manager contacted us with a series of lighting concerns at a multi-tenant retail center. Several pole lights were reported out near Dunkin’ and Beggars Pizza. The building’s wall pack lights were producing a dim, orange hue and weren’t illuminating the structure effectively. In addition, both sides of the monument sign at the property entrance were completely dark.

Our team responded promptly, evaluated the entire site, and got to work. All three rear pole lights were discovered to be out, and we repaired them during the initial visit. The monument sign lighting was fully restored and brought back to 100% functionality. Regarding the wall pack lighting, we identified that the fixtures had yellowish lenses, which caused the orange-toned glow. Because this was a fixture design issue, changing the bulb alone wouldn’t solve it—changing the light color would require replacing the entire fixture. We explained this to the property manager, ensuring they had a clear path forward if they wanted to improve building illumination. During our visit, we also noticed that most of the site was not equipped with LED lighting, and we offered a quote to upgrade the property to a more energy-efficient system. Additionally, we discovered the photocell failed to turn off the lights during the day, so we replaced it before leaving the site.

This project was a great example of how we go beyond basic repair. We assessed the full environment, addressed immediate issues, educated the client about long-term improvements, and restored functionality—all with the goal of providing clarity and value.

Another major service highlight occurred at 101 S. Wynstone Park Drive, the home of the Foglia Family Foundation. We received both a phone call and an email notifying us of a potentially dangerous situation: a smoking junction box was spotted in the lawn behind the unit, near the driveway entrance and gate. Our team immediately mobilized and was on-site shortly after to secure the area, prevent escalation, and assess the source of the smoke.

We identified the issue, made the area safe for pedestrians and vehicles, and began service work to ensure no further damage would occur. Our ability to respond quickly and professionally helped protect the client’s property and avoid what could have been a far more serious electrical event. This incident was yet another example of the role we play not only as service providers but as emergency responders when lighting infrastructure is compromised.

A third situation that stands out from 2025 involved a fueling company where a truck backed into a lot light pole, knocking it over entirely. The scene was unsafe for vehicle traffic and potentially hazardous due to exposed wiring. Our team responded right away, worked closely with the property manager, and quickly made the area safe for continued operations. Once the site was secured, we developed a plan to restore the downed pole and ensure the surrounding lighting remained fully functional. Incidents like this reinforce the importance of working with a team that is both responsive and capable of restoring safety under pressure.

The Numbers Behind Our Service

This year, Omni Commercial Lighting responded to emergency service calls, inspected, repaired, or replaced light poles, and upgraded properties to energy-efficient LED lighting. We also inspected and serviced thousands of feet of exposed conduit and restored dozens of monument signs across commercial properties.

Each service call was a business trusting us to deliver solutions quickly. Each upgrade was a long-term investment in efficiency and reliability. And every repair was a chance to prevent an accident, reduce liability, or simply give a tenant or visitor a safer experience.

Looking Ahead to 2026

While 2025 brought its share of challenges and opportunities, we’re entering 2026 with a renewed focus on what we do best: delivering reliable and high-impact lighting solutions that our clients can count on.

Next year, we’ll continue to help property managers reduce long-term costs and improve safety with LED upgrade services tailored to each site’s layout, needs, and energy goals. As more clients explore converting their properties to LED, we’re here to provide honest assessments, competitive quotes, and expert installation from start to finish.

We’ll also continue to expand our emergency service capabilities, ensuring we’re ready to respond when severe weather, electrical failures, or unforeseen events put property safety at risk. Our goal is to make sure our clients never have to wonder who to call when the lights go out, we’ll be there.

In addition to system upgrades and repairs, our work in exterior lighting—including pole lights, wall packs, and monument signage—will remain a key part of how we serve businesses, retail centers, and industrial sites across Chicagoland. We make it easy to maintain a well-lit property with dependable service, clear communication, and experienced technicians who get the job done right.

As we move into the new year, our commitment stays the same: to be the lighting partner you trust for practical solutions, lasting results, and responsive service—every season, every time.
